WorkSpace Coordinator Position Hub:868

Hub:868 is a multi-functional space with the primary objective to support local independent,remote workers, and culinary entrepreneurs. The commercial space consists of a variety of co-working spaces and flex desks as well as a shared use food facility and event space. While Hub:868 is at its core, a co-working space, it is able to support a wide variety of businesses. We are seeking a manager to assist and support the Owner in all aspects of operations for Hub:868, including but not limited to marketing, customer relations, financial systems, quality control and physical maintenance of the facility.


We are hiring a Part-time WorkSpace Coordinator. If you are a tech-savvy professional, experienced in social media, hospitality, PR and promotional events, we would like to meet you. Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and in person conversations with our community members and potential clients. Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage a wide range of community engagements and operations.

General RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Community Operations – 

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the space, including IT and network maintenance, opening and closing procedures, hospitality, configuration, daily amenities and refreshments

    • Maintain inventory and ensure the availability of supplies

    • Manage calendar and logistics for internal, stakeholder and turnkey programming and events 

    • Ensure daily and emergency cleaning and maintenance

  • Engagement – 

    • Establish quality relationships with all Hub:868 members, facilitate collaboration and networking in the community, and provide access to growth resources

    • Build community through regular, member only communication and events

    • Welcome visitors and guests and respond to questions and inquiries with relevant info about Hub:868

    • Provide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts

    • Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews

  • Sales & Growth – 

    • Conduct tours, build and maintain membership pipeline, screen potential members and onboard new members

    • Assist in any sales initiatives

    • Assist in developing and implementing quarterly sales strategies and initiatives

    • Assist with tracking revenue goals, pipeline leads, and sales/marketing initiatives

    • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies

QUALIFICATIONS – About you

We’re looking for someone who has the experience and aptitude to manage a smooth-running operation. You’ll need to be an accomplished multitasker, able to pre-empt issues before they become problems, and keep focused on service excellence. You also need to have/be:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism and communication. 

  • 2-4 years previous experience in a similar role or an equivalent role in customer service, hospitality, events management, or large office management

  • Experience with providing sales support

  • Positive, enthusiastic and able to adapt to fast-changing situations with an emphasis on problem solving and proactive management

  • Technology savvy – familiarity with Google Suite, CRM and accounting platforms, streaming and projection devices, etc.

  • Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)

  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events), and to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics

  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands with knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels

  • Accounting experience with Quick books and or graphic design a plus

  • Ability to work some nights and weekends

Compensation and Benefits

  • This is a 20-30 hour per week, part-time position 

  • Hourly rate of $17/hr
